Following an early career as a qualified Chef and Trainee Hotel Manager, Theresa England has had a successful career in senior leisure management, working in the commercial, local authority and Trust sectors. These roles culminated in 6 very enjoyable and successful years as Operations Director for a Leisure Trust in the South West.
In the economic downturn of 2008/9, the lure of bringing a local café and deli back to life after a closure saw a change of career track. This entailed an intensive course in contract negotiation, grant funding sourcing, product sourcing, supplier engagement and sales and marketing. This has proved to be a strong combination with the skills and experience previously gained in an operations role. This blend of expertise allows us to look at the operation from both a strategic and a consumer perspective. This is we believe what sets us apart from management consultants, we work with you to identify the solution, then become part of your extended team to realise the identified opportunity.
The road to Stir and Blend’s inception has included spells as Head of Food and Beverage for leisure operators, and latterly Food and Drink Business Development Manager at Bigwave Media.
